Where can I find nutritional information?
You can find nutritional information for our products in their Technical Dossiers . We strive to obtain this information directly from our suppliers.
Herbal Extracts
Herbal extracts are standardised for specific phytochemical compounds and used in small doses, primarily in food supplements. Since their contribution to energy, fat, carbohydrates, fibre, protein, or salt is negligible, reliable nutritional data is rarely available.
- If nutrition data is not provided by the supplier, it is challenging to obtain generally accepted data.
- Additional testing can be arranged upon request. Please contact your account manager to discuss pricing and lead times for third-party lab testing.
Free Form Amino Acids
Free form amino acids are single amino acids not bound by peptide bonds. Nutritional data for these products is not typically provided because:
- Assay, molecular formula, and molecular weight offer more precise compositional details.
- Protein content can be calculated from nitrogen levels, but we avoid presenting this as "protein" to prevent confusion regarding peptide bonding.
Chemical Compounds
Nutrition information is not usually included for chemical compounds unless they contribute measurable nutrients. For example:
- Vitamins and minerals include relevant nutrition data in the TDs, alongside assay, molecular formula, and molecular weight.
- General nutrition data (energy, fat, carbohydrate, fibre, protein, and salt) is excluded if it is irrelevant to the product type.
